  • City of Agoura Hills
    • Oversized Vehicle Permits – Permits are issued in 24-hour increments for no longer than 2 days to a single applicant, at their residence, within a 30-day period.
    • City Council – The City of Agoura Hills is a general law city incorporated on December 8, 1982. It is governed by the City Council/City Manager form of government. A five-member City Council is elected by the residents to provide direction and objectives for the City’s operations and to guide the future development of the community.
    • Gas Shutoff Valves (Required) – An automatic shutoff device shall be installed when alterations or additions exceeding $10,000 in valuation are made to the building or individual units within the buildings. An automatic shutoff device shall be installed whenever a building (including condominium and townhouse) has entered into an Agreement for Sale.
    • Building and Safety – The Building and Safety permit staff is responsible for taking in building permit applications, routing plans and documents to various divisions, consolidating approved plan sets, and reviewing permit/project cost valuations, as well as verifying approval and signoffs by various divisions and external agencies.  Staff is also available to answer your questions by phone, e-mail, or in person in City Hall.

An app is also available for Apple and Android devices. Your privacy is important so reports can be submitted anonymously.

    • California Civil Rights Department (CRD) – f/k/a the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the CRD is responsible for enforcing state fair housing laws that make it illegal to discriminate against or harass someone because of a protected characteristic.
    • California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation Law (NMBCL) – The NMBCL applies to nonprofit organizations without tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code 501(c)(3).
    • Center for California Homeowner Association Law (CCHAL) – CCHAL is a housing and consumer advocate group.
    • Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act (DSA) – The DSA is the popular name of the portion of the California Civil Code beginning with section 4000 which governs condominium, cooperative, and planned unit development communities in California.
    • HOAdvocate℠ – Non lawyer IDR advocacy and representation.

    • Homeowners Protection Bureau (HOPB) – HOPB provides information and resources related to American homeowners’ associations.
    • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) – The mission of the HUD Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) is to eliminate housing discrimination, promote economic opportunity, and achieve diverse, inclusive communities by leading the nation in the enforcement, administration, development, and public understanding of federal fair housing policies and laws.
